Our first hike with you three years ago will always be special because we were in “shock and awe” for the first 48 hours and didn’t quite know how to think, feel and act because it was so incredibly different than anything we had ever experienced (an amazing good different). That said, this hike took it to a new level! And, to Barry’s point, it was exactly what we had asked you for. Dave was awesome in all respects … personality, responsibility, fun, sense of humor and adventure, thoughtfulness, meal prep and he’s part mountain goat as he never seemed to break a sweat with the 100 pound pack!! We’d definitely hike with Dave again and really enjoyed his company. Three nights versus two was so much better! Imagine four or five would be better yet. The Hermit Loop is everything we hoped for and better. So much nicer to only see a handful of people each day and get to explore the side canyons. Camping at Salt Creek and Hermit Creek is wonderful. The Tonto and Hermit trails are incredible and so much more “authentic” than the “highways”. Really get to enjoy a better sense of “adventure” and “unique, custom experience”. The weather was perfect, all the equipment and gear worked just right and the food was delicious as always. Wouldn’t have changed a thing except for wanting to stay longer. My wife already approved of a Four Seasons outing next year and we can’t wait to venture out again.
